THE SAME GOES FOR YOUR DECORATING....small, BUT SIMPLE TOUCHES OF VALENTINES, SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE HOME, WILL MAKE YOU FEEL ALL WARM & FUZZY! :) YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A BIG HEART SHAPED SAMPLER OR AN ENTIRE VDAY DECORATED TREE TO SHOW HOW MUCH YOU CARE....JUST PLACE SMALL HEART SHAPED ITEMS THROUGHOUT YOUR HOME.

Tuesday Display Chain...Sentiments

Collections!

Saturday was a great day because I got to go to some fantastic antique stores and search for some "new" used items for my collections!

I decided to start a NEW obsession thanks to Jennifer Bowman! :) She has a great home & a fantastic blog! She recently posted some photos of butter paddles & I fell in love! :) I have always wanted some but had never bought any. After seeing her beautiful collection, I decided to start one of my very own!

I found 4 of them on Saturday and placed them in this little crock on my stoveboard.
I like how some of them have old chippy paint colors.





Then, while out hunting, I found another addition to my rolling pin collection! It is VERy worn and has a slight green color still left on the handles. It was only $3!!!



I found this HUGE slaw cutter for $10! This is only my second cutter but I am "itching" to find more! :)



I like to collect old kitchen utensils. This is my second biscuit cutter but I have NEVER seen one with a green square top?! If you fall in "love", you MUST buy it! :)



I finally bought a nutmeg grater that I have been dieing for! I think I will be wanting more of these as well! I am really liking how rusty it is!




I found a potato masher ...ON SALE! :) I have been wanting some of these too and hadn't gotten any so this will be the start to another collection! I love the handle on this one!



OK and this is not a collection but I think it is going to look just fantastic next to my "woolens" jar! :)

TUESDAY DISPLAY CHAIN

OK SO I AM A LITTLE LATE ON MY "CLOSET OBSESSIONS" FOR THE TUESDAY DISPLAY CHAIN BUT I STILL WANTED TO SHARE THEM!

I am in LOVE with PICTURE FRAMES!!!! I adore each and avery color, shape & size! It takes EVERYTHING I have not to buy EVERY single black distressed frame I see! :)

Frames are FANTASTIC way to show off your different "holiday" moods. This time of the year you can bring out all of the frames that have the word "LOVE" or "FAMILY" on them OR try diplaying all of your red frames front & center!

I am obviously equally obsessed with the photos that I put in my frames and suggest that you swap those out often too! During February I like to put photos of my kids looking "lovey" in them! Or break out all of the old B&W and Sepia toned ones! They just seem to have a more ROMANTIC feel about them! Where in the Summer I may display photos of the family on the beach in white distressed frames. In the Spring I break out the Sage colored distrressed frames & light and "springy" pics!

So what are you waiting for......GET BUSY.....go buy some frames and proudly display them in your home!!!

MORE VDAY DECORATING!!!

IN MY LAST POST I DISPLAYED SOME OF MY LAST YEARS' DECORATING FOR VDAY! I JUST WANTED TO SHARE SOME NEW ITEMS I HAVE GOTTEN THIS YEAR!

VDAY SALT DOUGHS ARE A FANTASTIC WAY TO SPREAD A LITTLE BIT OF "LOVE" AROUND YOUR HOME! PLACE THEM IN A WOODEN BOWL WITH AN ANTIQUE COOKIE CUTTER OR HANG THEM FROM A TREE!!

THESE SALT DOUGHS WERE FROM SARAH AT "ALL ROADS LEAD HOME"! SHE DOES AMAZING WORK!









SPEAKING OF ANTIQUE COOKIE CUTTERS! COLLECT THEM ALL IN ONE BIG JAR OR BOWL OR JUST PULL ONE OR TWO OUT TO ADD TO ANY GATHERING.

I WON THESE AMAZING HEART PANS FROM MISI AT *1890* & HER TUESDAY DISPLAY CHAIN! SHE HAD THEM DISPLAYED ON HER MANTEL! I LOVED THAT LOOK SO I COPIED IT HERE! ADD A LITTLE BIT OF RED WHEREVER YOU CAN! HERE I ADDED A RED SCHOOL BIRDHOUSE & SOME RED CRANBERRIES MY SON MADE FOR ME!





I ALSO RECEIVED THE SWEETEST RAK FROM A NEW FRIEND NAMED BECKY FROM "CROW'S NEST"! SHE MADE ME THIS "LOVE LETTER" THAT I PLACED IN MY VDAY TREE!
